The Sponsorship Process
The basic application process is as follows:
Form a Community Sponsorship Group (CSG)
Register with an approved Regional Support Organisation (RSO)
Submit Application Form to the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth (DCEDIY) for review
Notification by DCEDIY if application has been accepted
Develop Settlement Plan, begin fundraising activities and undertake mandatory training
Develop Child Safeguarding Policy, complete Children First E-Learning Programme and Garda Vetting
Submit Sections 1-3 of Settlement Plan
for pre-approval
(if housing not yet secured)
Submit Section 4 of Settlement Plan
(once housing is secured)
Submit Sections 1-4 of Settlement Plan
(if housing secured)
Formal decision will be provided to CSG by DCEDIY
